Use the working width, full dimensions and configuration together. This page separates the measurements and systems that are easy to confuse.

Three cutting configurations, three sets of questions.

Reference configurations from the latest supplied sheet. These are comparison points, not interchangeable specifications.

The named product variants in the catalogue may use different configurations. The quotation and model sheet identify the version supplied.

Remote-control handset

A controller is part of the configuration.

The supplied option list includes the C7 standard controller, RC single-hand system, H12 video-return system and industrial controller options. Compatibility and availability need to be checked against the machine.

Ask which functions are controlled remotely, how the stop controls work and what information is displayed. Video return and industrial control options should be identified explicitly in the order.

Close view of flail cutting components

Look beneath the width figure.

Rotary and flail arrangements use different cutting structures. A width measurement does not describe the cutter geometry, the vegetation it is intended to handle or the resulting finish.

For a flail enquiry, ask for a close view of the fitted cutters and the relevant replacement-part identification. For rotary equipment, check the deck and blade configuration attached to the quoted model.

Measurement guide

Keep these figures separate.

Cutting width / machine width

Cutting width describes the working cut. Overall width determines whether the complete machine can pass through a gate or between fixed obstacles.

Body height / cutting height

Body height affects branch and structure clearance. Cutting height describes the cutter setting above the ground, and may have a different adjustment mechanism by model.

Net weight / gross weight

Net weight describes the machine. Gross weight includes packaging and the supplied shipment contents. Use the final gross figure for transport planning.

Nominal range / working visibility

A published remote-control range is a stated specification under conditions that must be confirmed. It does not remove the need to assess visibility, interference and the model operating instructions.

Use video to check a specific detail.

Demonstrations supplied with the equipment materials. Confirm the model shown when comparing against a quotation.

The working pass

Observe the vegetation before the pass, the travel path and the visible cut finish. Keep the terrain in view.

The control layout

Identify the handset and the functions demonstrated. Match it with the controller included in the proposed package.

The operation walkthrough

Note the machine version and the sequence shown. Use the applicable manual for complete operating procedures.
