An orchard enquiry should describe how the machine reaches the area as well as what it cuts. Record the narrowest entrance, the low branches along the route, row spacing and the room available to turn. If the machine will be transported between sites, include the loading opening and storage space in the same review.

The supplied 550L-B model sheet lists a 550 mm mowing width, a 0–260 mm cutting-height range and unit dimensions of 930 × 900 × 475 mm. These describe different things. The 475 mm figure is the listed machine height; the cutting-height range describes adjustment at the cutter. A 550 mm cutting width does not mean the whole machine is 550 mm wide.

Request a video of the exact configuration moving through comparable access and turning in a similar space. Ask to see the machine from the side as well as the front. A brochure image can help identify the version, but it cannot confirm clearance along your customer’s entire working route.

Send the model, the tightest measured dimensions, photographs of the access route where available, vegetation details, quantity and destination. Ask the supplier to confirm the overall dimensions of the configuration being quoted. Confirm the relevant operating limits and instructions before discussing the machine with an end user.
