Questions to ask when adding flail machines to your range
Start with the cutting system
The supplied Z Series images show a flail cutting arrangement rather than the same deck layout as the compact rotary mower range. If your customers ask for vegetation-clearing equipment, request a close view of the cutter arrangement and the specific cutter fitted to the proposed machine.
Do not treat the series name as the full specification
The client materials include Z80, Z100 and Z120 petrol variants, plus Z80 and Z100 diesel variants. Record the complete variant in the enquiry. Ask for its engine details, cutting width, overall dimensions and operating instructions. Do not transfer specifications from one version to another simply because the machines share a series name.
Describe the vegetation before requesting a demo
Include the vegetation type, approximate height, density, surface conditions and finish the customer wants. Request footage of the proposed machine working in comparable material, with the condition before and after cutting visible. Ask the supplier to confirm what the machine and cutter configuration are intended to handle.
Plan the dealer handover as well as the purchase
Request cutter identification, operation guidance and the relevant maintenance information. Include any spare-parts questions with the model and engine details, so the response relates to the quoted version. Working limits, safety requirements and maintenance intervals should come from the confirmed instructions for that machine.
A flail demonstration request that can be checked
| Include in the request | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Exact model and fuel option | Prevents a video of another engine variant being treated as equivalent |
| Vegetation type, height and density | Makes the cutting task identifiable |
| Rotor and cutter close-up | Shows which cutting arrangement is fitted |
| Wide view of the working pass | Reveals the terrain and travel pattern |
| Visible result after the pass | Lets the buyer assess the finish against the stated objective |
